Mr. Martin is the President and Founder of Rapid Production Marketing, a marketing, social media, business management & business intelligence consulting firm.  He is the Managing Directorre of the Italian Cortile at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as well as the Social Media Director for the PVGP

Mr. Martin has a unique background. Starting his career in finance and management & sales consulting Mr. Martin has had first hand experience in manufacturing, distribution and manufacturer's agency management which gives him a very unique skill set. Very few people have had front line experience in every aspect of channels management.

Mr. Martin has an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Political Science and Economics and worked on his MBA in San Francisco at the University of Phoenix with a 4.0 GPA

Mr. Martin has counseled with a multitude of manufacturers on the macro topics of strategic planning, distributor rationalization, product marketing, brand introduction as well as tactical implementation of pricing and discount programs, agent identification, Distributor and Agent contracts, trade show design & layout and incentive programming.

Mr. Martin was the VP of Sales & Marketing for Toolex and managed every aspect of their workholding product rollout. He later moved to Northern California and worked for Western Tool & Supply, one of the largest, privately held, cutting tool distributors in North America. In 2000, Mr. Martin started his own "rep" agency and quickly became the #1 salesagency and/or the #1 growth agency in the country for many of his principals. Mr. Martin's agency was twice nominated as a Finalist in the Pittsburgh Technology Councils "Tech 50" awards. His firm managed channels programming for 58% of the US manufacturing sector and 62% of the Canadian manufacturing sector.

In late 2009, Mr. Martin became President of Highlander Tool, an industrial distributor based in Johnstown, PA. Starting from scratch he negotiated with over 180 manufacturers to develop a unique product offering catering to the aerospace and defense industries. He also developed a custom database to manage the company as well as all identity pieces such as the Logo, line card, website, TwitterYouTubeFacebook and Production Tool Catalog. Mr. Martin was invited to be one of five distributors in North America as a member of the WidiaDistributor Advisory Council. Highlander Tool is a member of ISA and IBC networks.

In mid 2010 Mr. Martin moved into a consultancy role at Highlander Tool and formed Rapid Production Marketing as a consultancy agency.

Outside of his professional business experience Mr. Martin is "Managing Directorre" of the Italian Car Show, "The Cortile", at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Mr. Martin developed the Cortile concept and has garnered international attention within the target demographic of this group.

Mr. Martin is "Social Media Marketing Director" at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. He was instrumental in not only the strategic vision but all aspects of the tactical implementation of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix's Social networking marketing program. From the creation of the Twitter feeds, Facebook page, YouTube Channel andFlikr sites as well as a special working relationship with SpeedTV in the beta rollout of their new website.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to hold a world-class vintage automotive event for charity. Since 1983 this volunteer-driven event has raised over $2.5 million for the Autism Society of PittsburghAllegheny Valley School.

Mr. Martin is also Past President of Ambridge PAGE which works with the local school district to develop programming for Gifted Education Students with a focus on STEAM education.

In July 2010, Mr Martin launched a new company, Rapid Production Marketing to develop plan, develop, implement and train automotive and industrial sector companies in the use of Social Media marketing tools.

Mr. Martin was the featured speaker on Social Media for the business-to-business social media implementation for the metalcutting sector of the manufacturing industry in 2012 at theInternational Manufacturing Technology Show.

Mr Martin has worked with a variety of Private Equity firms as a consultant for manufacturing firm acquisition.

In 2014 Mr. Martin is working on the development several patents as part of a solution for CNC milling workholding systems, called "Modul" that will reduce manufacturing set-up time and fixture changeover to further reduce manufacturing "total cost of ownership" (TCO). An integral part of this endeavor is the creation of a developer network, called "3C",  bringing the concept of a crowd sourcing, often utilized in software, to the manufacturing sector. This promises to provide a change in the methodology of how manufacturing has been done "since Eli Whitney started using the T-Slot as a standard on his milling machine in 1829" according to Martin.

Also in 2014, Mr. Martin is developing a Business-to-Business social network called "IgnitionWorld" that connects global manufacturing supply chains with consumers of manufactured products based upon a hierarchical taxonomy that lets members search, source, and sell to B2B companies.

Lamborghini Huracán 2014 U.S. Debut

I had the unique opportunity to visit The Amelia Island Concour's d' Elegance and witness the unveiling of the new Lamborghini Huracán.  To say that I was very impressed would be an understatement.  Was I impressed by the car? Of course. But that was not what impressed me the most. I'll explain a bit on that later, but first a bit about the Huracán.

Hey Bernie,
I brought Johno (the artist) to the park yesterday to scout out some potential backgrounds for his painting. We met briefly with Andrew at the PGC and got some good photos. Johno has a few questions, would it be possible to meet with you sometime soon? His studio is on the Slopes, 2 doors from my shop, his phone number is: (412) 481-4208. Be sure to bring your PVGP poster(s) for me to frame. Andy

Mr. Martin,
Thanks for the welcome! I'm actually currently not an Italian car owner. I am Billy Fitts' neighbor and serve as an exotics consultant, however. Consider me the ultimate enthusiast!

Look forward to hopefully meeting you (and the rest of the gang) in July.
Ryan Saari
