Sunday Events

The Cortile is a two day car show of All Italian cars, all makes and ages are welcome. Be sure to Marque your 2013 calendar and come and enjoy the weekend at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix overlooking the International car show on the Schenley Park Golf Course. It should be a spectacular weekend.

Sunday is the day we have set aside for you to enjoy the other events at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.  We have such a full day on Saturday at the Cortile we try to get you some time to relax and enjoy the entire show and get to see the racing action on the track starting around noon...

BUT, that doesn't mean we don't have some plans for some special Sunday events for 2013! We're working on some very very nice events at Turn 9 on the Race Course, the "Westinghouse Fountain" which may include a box lunch and some wine and cheese tasting. Stay Tuned as this evolves over the next several months!

Suggestions

Here are some suggestions for how to plan out your Sunday if you have not been to the Pittsuburgh Vintage Grand Prix before:

  • Plan on visiting the PVGP Concours. It's where British Car Day was on Saturday.  This is a SUNDAY ONLY event of Pebble Beach, Amelia Island winners and really worth checking out
  • Plan on a walk down the hill to the Westinghouse Fountain and watch the RACING from the private viewing area for the Cortile. Turn 9 is one of the best viewing area for the races and it's in the shade! Bring your folding chair and your wine. There's a 12' X 12' tent set up there and some tables to set up shop.

As with Saturday:

  • Bring some folding chairs that you can sit next to your car
  • Bring some wine/ cheese and maybe a small folding table.
  • Bring an umbrella if you plan on sitting by your car. Although tents ARE NOT PERMITTED at the Cortile, an umbrella is a good idea on a bright sunny day ... or if you find yourself on the other side of the show grounds and some rain starts.
  • Bring any photo albums of your car or other bits of informaton you think might be good conversation
  • Ask the volunteers at the registration tent if you need any help: jump starting a car, a handicapped friend who needs a lift in a golf cart, some bottled water, etc.

We'll be updating this page with more information as we get closer to the event so be sure and check back!
